a few hours ago World Publications
reported the death of Bruce Willis six
months after the news of his incurable
illness which worsened with each passing
month he was born on March 19 1955 in
aderoberstein West Germany where his
father David Willis was a civilian
employee in an American military unit
Bruce was the eldest of four children he
has a sister Florence and a Brother
David brother Robert died in 2001 from
pancreatic cancer after moving to
America his mother got a part-time job
as a bank employee and his father worked
in different years as a welder mechanic
or factory worker Bruce had a great
sense of humor since childhood one of
his friends talked about his character
when there are a lot of children in the
family they constantly make fun of each
other and probably his sense of humor
grew out of it Bruce loved to have fun
but at the same time he had a lot of
respect for adults in 1973 the young man
graduated from Penns Grove School and
got a job as a security guard at the
Salem nuclear power plant then was a bus
driver for the staff of the DuPont
Chemical Company where his father worked
and even tried himself as a private
investigator but none of these jobs
could bring him moral satisfaction and
Bruce decided to become a professional
actor continuing to work as a comedian
in 1987 Willis starred in his first
major role in Blake Edwards romantic
comedy blind date where his partner was
the brilliant Kim basing
